Free to all participants - WormBase Workshop at the BSP Spring Conference, Wednesday 13th April 1.30 p.m. (This will not overlap with any other sessions or talks - please see the online programme)
WormBase-Parasite (parasite.wormbase.org) is a web-based resource for storing, analyzing and exploring the genomes of helminth parasites. The public database contains annotated genomes for 90 species of nematode and platyhelminth, many of which are unpublished.
In this workshop, we will provide an introduction to WormBase-ParaSite, and walk you through its main features and tools. These include search and browse, BLAST, comparative genomics and data-mining. Workshop participants will undertake simple exercises to help understand the site's functionality.
