Profile of Ian Graham
Ian is a change leader specialising in city and social innovation and works across both public and private sectors and has extensive experience in embedding innovation and leading business development and transformation.
Ian is now a founding director of VIATIC, specialising in open innovation, collaborative co-production methods and leading cultural change within organisations. He has designed and facilitated numerous hackathons & creative events to tackle challenges on themes ranging from climate change to learning disabilities to rail tech and even innovation in equine tech. Prior to that, Ian worked in innovation and change roles for local government and global insurance company Aviva.
An accomplished coach and experienced in transnational projects, Ian has also worked with cities worldwide such as Cape Town, Tallinn and San Sebastian, helping them develop and deploy problem solving models which use open innovation and design-led methods underpin their change programmes. He is also a Fellow of the RSA, a lead expert in city innovation for URBACT (the EU cities exchange and learning programme) and a social sector adviser to the Enactus student social entrepreneurship programme.
