Profile of Miss Sarah Davey
Sarah Davey is a second-year PhD student with the Barrett Centre for Helminth Control at IBERS, Aberystwyth. Her research project is “repositioning histone modification enzyme (HME) inhibitors as next-generation flukicides”, supervised jointly between Aberystwyth University (Prof. Karl Hoffmann and Dr. Iain Chalmers) and Queens University (Prof. Aaron Maule) as part of the first cohort of FoodBioSystems DTP students. Her research interests include epigenetics (specifically histone modification), molecular biology, bioinformatics, ‘omics tech, neural networks, automated diagnostics and classical parasitology.
