The round table will discuss the potential avenues for new research on youth and generations in the Soviet bloc. It will highlight trends in the existing scholarship and reflect on questions and problems that have yet to be addressed. The round table will also consider to what extent research on the Soviet context is transposable to that of the so-called satellite states (and vice versa) and what the potential benefits of comparative research could be. The round table's participants are members of the Academic Advisory Board of the project "Comparative Perspectives on Students, Generations and Communism" which is funded by the Polish National Science Centre.
