Country Political Risk Index (CPRI) is the first composite index that captures how Chinese MNEs perceive political risk in host countries when making investment decisions. Using CPRI as an analytical tool, this research compares political risk distribution of Chinese OFDI in Eurasian Economic Union, Central Asian, ASEAN and South Asian countries and proposes policy recommendations for the Chinese government on how to achieve more effect policy-alignments with its neighboring countries in the new era.
