This research aims to investigate how displacement influences the environmental habits of Ukrainian women. The study explores the hypothesis that exposure to more environmentally conscious societies, such as the UK fosters the adoption of greener behaviours among displaced women. Drawing on previous research, we suggest that displaced women, equipped with knowledge of resource conservation from their past experiences, may be more likely to adopt sustainable habits after displacement. Through focus groups with Ukrainian refugee women in the UK and internally displaced women in Ukraine, this research will assess shifts in their behaviours, particularly regarding waste management, recycling, and energy conservation. The findings aim to contribute to both migration and environmental sustainability research by highlighting displaced populations as potential agents of green change.
