Starting from historical models of representing nature, I will focus on those traditions that allow us to understand contemporary literary and artistic images of plants in Polish culture. I will be particularly interested in artists who seek new ways of expressing the experience of the organic, while attempting to problematise the limits of anthropocentric languages.
