Today the war in Ukraine in which two major geopolitical actors - the West and Russia - have become trapped is also impacting other regions of "intermediate Europe". Thus, three South Caucasian states are searching for balance in relations with global and regional powers in the context of growing geopolitical turbulence.
This paper will examine the latest development in this region through an inquiry into whether (or how) the evolving geopolitical rivalry between the West and Russia affects this part of the world.
