Discussion
The purpose of this research is to create a comprehensive, unbiased study of illegal activity in the Ternopil section of the Polish-Soviet border during the Holodomor of 1932–1933 and its contribution to the strengthening of political tension between the Republic of Poland, the Western Ukrainian populations (Ukrainians, Poles and Jews) and the USSR. The author will base his research on the involvement of sources located in Ukrainian archives, under the threat of Russian shelling and in need of urgent involvement in scientific circulation. Using a microhistorical approach, the author will make an attempt to investigate the situation in the state border zone in the conditions of the peasant uprisings of 1930, the Holodomor of 1932-1933, using specific examples of personal cases of migrants. In addition, the proposed work will investigate the general illegal activity on the border during the Holodomor, thus refining the concept of the "second migration boom" (1930–1934) on the Polish-Soviet border.
