Discussion

Formulation of the problem. The International Tribunal and the European Court of Human Rights are two key mechanisms of international law for the protection of human rights and the condemnation of international crimes. In the context of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, especially in relation to the political and military leaders of the Russian Federation, the question arises as to the effectiveness of these mechanisms in ensuring justice and compensation for the victims of aggression.

>The International Tribunal is a powerful tool for prosecuting international crimes, including the crime of aggression.

An important aspect is the issue of judicial jurisdiction, as Russia may refuse to recognize the tribunal's jurisdiction over its leaders. This can lead to shortcomings in the prosecution of guilty persons.

The ECHR has considerable experience in resolving cases of human rights violations. However, the tribunal isn’t specifically designed to prosecute international crimes and its competence is limited in this regard.

One of the key aspects is the possibility for citizens of Ukraine and Russia to appeal to the ECHR with complaints about human rights violations as a result of the conflict. However, the issue of the execution of court decisions and their impact on the responsibility of political and military leaders remains relevant.

In the context of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, questions of the effectiveness of the International Tribunal and the European Court of Human Rights become important.

The international tribunal could be an important tool for holding Russia's political and military leaders accountable for the international crime of aggression in Ukraine. The issue of court jurisdiction could also be an issue, as Russia could refuse to recognize the tribunal's jurisdiction.

Regarding the European Court of Human Rights, it is worth noting that this court has considerable experience in resolving cases of human rights violations. However, it is not a specially created tribunal to prosecute international crimes and its competence is limited in this regard.

The issue of the execution of court decisions and their impact on the responsibility of political and military leaders remains relevant.

Therefore, solving the question of the effectiveness of these mechanisms for ensuring justice and compensation for victims of aggression is a difficult and important task in the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
