Discussion

Are surveys still a valid tool to gauge public opinion in contemporary Russia? The presentation will discuss problems associated with data quality, financing, practical implementation and preference falsification, when conducting surveys in Russia. The discussion will be based on an overview of recent survey research conducted in Russia, and will be illustrated with data from a recent survey experiment on highly skilled workers in the Russian IT sector.
