Discussion

Since the beginning of Russia's  war against Ukraine in 2022, Ukrainian literature and art started to play a role of a witnessing  the war. Literature began to document and to present not only the tragedy of war, but also the personal tragedy of refugees and people, who every day are living in the time of war. As an example of the role of literature as a tool of documenting personal tragedy during the  Russian war against Ukrainian in this case is Ostap Slyvynsky's project "Dictionary of War", which was started since the beginning of the war against Ukraine. By documenting the stories of people, who run away from shellings the project focuses on an investigation how the war changes the personal and global values of life in modern time. In spite of modern  media and other ways to document the war,  Ukrainian literature nowadays became an instrument for documenting and lightening that aspects of  peoples tragedy from the local point of view to the global scale.
