This round table will bring together children's authors, illustrators, translators, and publishers from Ukraine to discuss current opportunities and challenges. How should new books for children address war and migration? How might Ukrainian children's literature incorporate the new languages and cultures being gained by children in emigration? How can writers, translators, illustrators and publishers be better supported?

Unfortunately, circumstances this week have prevented us from drawing up a definitive list of participants beyond those resident in Scotland. It is envisaged that there will be 3 more participants online from Ukraine in addition to Emily Finer and Viktoriia Medvied.
