Abstract

Knowing the genetic landscape of a drug target increases the chance of success 2-fold (Nature genetics 2015) Over the past decade, the genome editing technology CRISPR/Cas has revolutionized translational medicine and biomedical research. One of the many applications of CRISPR/Cas is to create relevant cellular models, allowing researchers to understand better the impact of genetics on disease development across therapeutic areas. Creating these models at scale is a game changer for drug discovery and therapies alike! Synthego’s automated CRISPR platform offers great precision and increased throughput. It, therefore, has a huge impact on the drug discovery landscape by accelerating the progress of many research projects and potentially lowering attrition rates.
