Sparus aurata (sea bream) is a Sparidae marine teleost of great economic interest. Frequently harbor various groups of parasites, particularly Platyhelminthes. Three species of Digenea were identified from the intestine, the collected Digeneas belongs to the same family Opecoelidae Ozaki, 1925 represented by Allopodocotyle pedicellata Stossich, 1887; Macvicaria obovata Molin, 1859 and Macvicaria maillardi Bartoli, Bray & Gibson, 1989.
Allopodocotyle pedicellata Stossich, 1887 and Macvicaria obovata Molin, 1859 were reported for the first time in the Algerian coast.
This study has allowed us to investigate the biodiversity of the parasitic Digenea in Teleostean fish.
