The paper will be devoted to a comparative analysis of the theme of poet and poetry on the example of lyrics of the first poetesses of China and Russia - Li Qingzhao (1084-1151) and Anna Bunina (1774-1829).
Six hundred years separating these women as well as huge cultural gap between them seem, at first glance, to make their comparison impossible. However, the transitional eras in which they lived and which made possible their very work, the social circle to which they belonged, the circumstances of life, the themes of creativity turn out to be very similar, which gives grounds to talk about the typological similarity of these poetesses. Comparison of these two personalities from the point of view of life path and creative activity provides the basis for broader generalizations concerning the patterns of development of female creativity. First of all, it allows one to overcome the stable idea of the thematic limitations of female lyrics, already in the work of its very first representatives.
