E. vermicularis a parasitic helminth nematode worm currently infecting over a billion humans. Treatment relies heavily on Benzimidazole drugs that have identified developed resistance in other worms. Recently cases of resistance have been identified in the UK, this study analsyses the SNP mutation locations in E. vermicularis associated with resistance in other species to track the development and spread of resistance.
