Objective

Jo Burgess joined York St John University as Careers and Opportunities Manager in 2016. Prior to her appointment, she was Business Growth Manager at Make It York, leading on the development of business and education partnerships. She has also held positions at City Of York Council as Head of the Apprenticeship Recruitment Service; Global Manufacturing Firm Rosti McKechnie as Head of HR and Workforce Development and North Yorkshire County Council in leading Organisational Development projects. Jo has held number of consultancy roles delivering workforce and skills initiatives; these include York CVS, Interserve FM, Derwent Training, York Medical Group, Swinton Global Technology. Jo Burgess is currently a chartered member of CIPD, founding member of Guild of Media Arts and a member of York Employment and Skills Board.
