FORM Training is an institute of higher education which has served as an association of teachers, academics, researchers and course designers in Moscow & St Petersburg since 2012.
For 8 years, we ran year-abroad programmes for UK undergraduates in St Petersburg. In March 2022, we moved our programme to Tbilisi, Georgia.
Tbilisi has received hundreds of thousands of Russian speakers since February 2022. This community has already built spaces where they can interact, work, and play. Today, the city is alive with opportunities to speak Russian.
We've been working hard to build links with clubs, societies, events organisers, and relief initiatives to ensure students have the guidance they need to engage effectively with the Russian-speaking community.
We offer the following courses:
- Russian language
- Community relations (delivered in Russian)
- Teacher-training
We also run:
- A bi-weekly lecture programme from writers, artists, journalists, activists, poets, human rights lawyers, and entrepreneurs in the Apollo Kinoteatr, a crumbling piece of Art Nouveau architecture built in 1905;
- Telegram channels on local events where students can practice Russian and access academic materials;
- A full programme of extracurricular events.
