Profile of Dr Sweta Singh
Dr Sweta Singh is an Assistant Professor at Vasanta College for Women, Rajghat, Varanasi, India as a Guest member of Faculty. She is a social scientist with experience of both teaching and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and community engagement. She has more than 14 publications in reputed and UGC listed journals and has attended many workshops on quantitative and qualitative research methodology. Her major research areas of interests include adolescence, menstrual hygiene and gender equality. She has supported various community engagement activities during her work with NGOs and has conducted many focus group discussions and in depth interviews as part of her qualitative research. She has worked with several organisations on the rights of children, women and people with disabilities and she has expertise in working with both rural and urban populations. Sweta is part of an interdisciplinary GCRF-funded team led by University of Durham, working on the acceptability of drug formulations and access to treatment for visceral leishmaniasis in India.
