Dr Andreas Luippold

Dr. Luippold studied chemistry with focus on analytical chemistry at Reutlingen University and holds a PhD from Technical University of Berlin. In 1996 he joined Boehringer Ingelheim’s Department of Pharmacokinetics and Metabolism in the headquarter in Ingelheim. After the merge of Research and Development he moved to BI’s major Research and Development site in Biberach.
In his current position he is Director of the research group Discovery Sciences Technologies providing many platform technologies for histopathology, AAVs, mass spectrometry based biomarker, Metabolite Identification and bioanalysis for BI’s global research.
His passion is driving innovation by means of cutting-edge science and technology. The implementation of his innovative approaches have been presented at several ASMS and SLAS conferences.
He is member of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) and SLAS where he was a member of the scientific committee for several years (US SLAS).
