Ms Cassie Messenger

Cassie is currently a cellular assay scientist at GSK in the screening profiling and mechanistic biology department and has been for the past 6 years. This involves developing and implementing a range of biological assays to support target to candidate efforts across the GSK portfolio. Cassie has a particular focus on industrial placement students in her current role, leading the recruitment and training of all placement students for her department and this is because she was an industrial placement student herself while completing her bachelor’s degree at the university of Kent. Cassie has recently completed her master’s degree in Cancer Metabolism at the Crick. Outside of her day job her interest lies in helping early career professionals expand their networks via ELRIG by combining her links with academia and experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
