I am a keen advocate for the implementation of a wide range of biophysical and mechanistic biochemical approaches post-HTS to characterise protein-ligand interactions, for exploitation in drug design.
The use of biophysics, enzymology and MoA studies early in HTS triage cascades to confirm target engagement and characterise potential hit compounds post HTS quickly provides confidence to project teams that they are focussed on quality chemical starting points.
