Profile of David Trigg
David Trigg is Vice President and General Manager, Cloud Service Provider at EMC. In this role, Mr. Trigg is responsible for driving EMC’s business readiness to support EMC’s service provider partners and to support EMC’s engagements with service providers, including solutions, partner enablement and sales enablement, amongst others.
Mr. Trigg has nearly two decades of corporate management experience within service provider organizations. Prior to joining EMC, he held several leadership roles at Qwest/CenturyLink, a $20 billion telecommunications company located in the United States. Most recently, Mr. Trigg was responsible for running Qwest’s hosting and application services business and was part of the executive team that drove the $2.5 billion acquisition of Savvis, a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises. Prior to this role, Mr. Trigg was responsible for the business unit strategy organization for the Business Markets Group, a $4 billion enterprise division within Qwest. He was responsible for creating and implementing the strategic plans, including the management of the capital budget. Inclusive of this organization was the sales effectiveness organization responsible for all sales development, sales incentives and overlay sales proficiency. Mr. Trigg was responsible for preparing the enterprise sales organization to sell and deliver additional cloud based services. While at his tenure at Qwest/ CenturyLink, Mr. Trigg also held key leadership roles within the product, operations, and sales organizations.
Prior to Qwest/CenturyLink, Mr. Trigg served as Vice President of Sales at a DBA / systems integrator company, TimberLan. He also started and ran a sales engineering department for Extant, subsequently purchased by Dynegy, a large oil and gas company.
Mr. Trigg graduated from University of Colorado with a B.S. in Business Administration.
