Leire Orue-Echevarria

Leire Orue-Echevarria holds a degree in Computer Engineering (BSc) from the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) and Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) and an Executive MBA from the University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain). Her professional experience acquired in Spain, Germany and Austria, ranges from different industrial sectors, covering the whole software lifecycle, from requirements elicitation to validation through development, and in the most varied set of applications: web content management systems, intelligent tutoring systems or railway signalling systems. Leire Orue-Echevarria started working at TECNALIA in 2008 where she currently leads the “Cloud Technologies” research group and also acts as Project Manager of R&D projects at regional, national and European level, coordinating technically several of them (i.e. Spanish mCloud, FP7-IP ARTIST). Her main research areas are cloud computing with a special focus on transition to cloud computing, business models, mobile cloud and multi-cloud
