Profile of Nick Bracet
Nick has joined eNovance, an OpenStack Gold member, on December 10 2012 as VP of Products. In this roles
Nick helps define eNovance product strategy, works with:
- the development team as a scrum product owner,
- the marketing team to define communications, collaterals and organize events,
- the sales team to help pre-sales and collect customer requirements,
Nick founded the Ceilometer project at the Folsom summit to handle centralized metering on OpenStack, and has been project leading it for its first year. Ceilometer is now an integratied project for habana and its scope is extended to metrics collection in general, metering and alerting.
eNovance main strategy is based on OpenStack, which means that Nick will continue being involved heavily on this project. Until December 2012, Nick was working for Canonical which he had joined in September 2007. Since 2009 he was in charge Cloud product management worldwide (Ubuntu Cloud). As a product Manager, he helped organizations (Canonical, customers and partners) define their cloud strategy and build their own cloud infrastructures. This includes working with Dell, Rackspace, Intel, Amazon and others for defining new ways to offer Canonical's services in the cloud. Prior to that role he was Ubuntu Server Product Manager, focusing on bringing together the requirements that Ubuntu users have in order to make Ubuntu Server the easiest platform to deploy in business, enterprises and Internet data centers.
Previously Nick worked at Intel as a Technical Marketing Manager, at Novell as an Identity Management consultant and pre-sales manager, JCA as a CTO, and ACI as Product Manager. Nick is also a director on the boards of the OpenStack Foundation, the Open Cloud Initiative and Upstream University.
Nick is a french citizen residing in Paris, France and is 44 years old.
