Ian van Reenen

Ian van Reenen is an experienced product manager and entrepreneur. He has participated in the start-up of multiple SaaS businesses, and has managed both in-house and outsourced software development teams in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Eastern Europe and has filed three global IT patents. Ian studied Business Information Systems and Economics in South Africa and in 1999 founded Attix5 - an online backup platform. As CTO for seven years, Ian oversaw the development and rollout of the product across all 5 continents, moving to the UK in 2004 to take up a more strategic role. The product displaced industry mainstays such as Veritas, Symantec and Legato at a number of sites and performs millions of file backups and recoveries daily across the globe. Ian left Attix5 in 2006 to start CentraStage, a device management plat and as CTO he is responsible for product development and delivery, and participates in business strategy and development. He is a firm believer of SaaS and cloud based solutions and sees the rapid efficient delivery of customer and market requirements as a key driver in the establishment of CentraStage as an industry leader.
