Peter Ransom

An internationally recognised expert in Cloud deployments, global IT networks and mobile computing field technology, Peter also has a wide knowledge of system architectures. He has extensive experience of strategic and tactical investment plan development, benefit tracking and quality management, and has also won awards for his team building skills. In his role at Oxfam, Peter's key challenge is elevating the organisation to full IT capability, including satellite-linked operations in hostile environments in the 90+ countries in which it works. Peter has also driven through new technologies, such as cloud solutions, to meet business demands and lower operational costs. Peter has worked in a variety of engineering, IT and business roles for companies including Centrica and the BBC (British Broadcast Company). Peter was voted 24th in the Tech Republic CIO 50 list of most influential and innovative CIOs in 2012. He also featured on the list of IT Movers and Shaker for a weekly computer magazine.
