Dr Stavros Isaiadis

Since early 2011 Stavros has been responsible for the architecture and development of electronic trading applications for the Equities and Portfolio Trading business of Merrill Lynch in London, including portfolio optimisation, unwinding engines, and algorithmic portfolio trading. Previously, he was a Senior Research Engineer with Fujitsu, working in the areas of cloud integration and management. Stavros holds a PhD in distributed systems architecture and has worked extensively in European projects on grid systems design, data modelling, and dependability. As a research fellow he was one of the pioneers in dynamic mobile resource pooling, formulating and prototyping ideas widely used in the context of cloud and social computing today. He is a Senior IEEE member; a frequent participant in conferences and expert panels; has authored and presented many peer-reviewed papers; and is involved in cloud standardization efforts where he chairs an OASIS technical committee
