Meeting the Challenges of Physiologically Relevant Cell Model Systems – The Opera Phenix High Content Screening System

The use of physiologically more relevant cell model systems such as 3-D cultures, iPS-derived and primary cells is seen as one of the most promising approaches to improve the success rate of drug development projects. These cell models also hold promise for increasing the translational power of in vitro toxicity assays. However, today’s high-content applications are also more demanding - they require highly sensitive, high-resolution and high-speed image acquisition.
